Activate feature sets

You activate specific feature sets in the user group management dialog. You can provide each modeler group with the feature sets they require to perform their tasks. For example, this prevents users from uncontrollably creating diagrams or dictionary entries in your workspace.

  1. Open the Explorer and click Setup - Manage access rights. The user management dialog opens.
  2. Go to the User groups tab.
  3. Select a user group and activate or deactivate the feature sets according to your requirements.

  4. Click Save feature sets to confirm and save the changes.

Overview over feature sets

Feature set Description

Decision Manager - DMN requirements modeling (without decision logic)

Allows users to create and edit DMN diagrams, but don't allow creating and editing the decision logic in such diagrams.

Decision Manager - complete

Allows users to create and edit DMN diagrams including the decision logic.

Decision Manager - export Drools

Allows users to export decision tables and diagrams as described in Exporting DMN diagrams as drools rules.

General - Diagram Import/Export

Allows users to import and export diagrams in formats that can be transferred between workspaces and tools.

When this feature set is disabled, users can still export models as file formats that can't be used for importing, for example PDF and PNG files. The export of these file types can't be deactivated.

ETL - Superuser Role

ETL data pipelines: Allows users to create and manage process data pipelines for analysis, create and manage integrations, and create and manage connections.

This feature set is only available on request, read more in section Process data management feature sets.

ETL - Analyst Role

ETL data pipelines: Allows users to manage transformations and the load part of the process data pipeline. Users can also see integrations.

This feature set is only available on request, read more in section Process data management feature sets.

ETL - Reader Role

ETL data pipelines: Allows users read-only access to process data pipelines.

This feature set is only available on request, read more in section Process data management feature sets.

General - Dictionary Import/Export Allows users to import dictionary entries from XLSX (Microsoft Excel) spreadsheets.

General - Reports (Basic & Documentation)

Allows users to generate basic reports, see section Creating reports. Includes all reports with the exception of cost, resource consumption and resource consumption analysis report.

General - Reports (Cost & Resources)

Allows users to generate cost and resource consumption analysis reports.
General - Upload files Allows users to upload files to SAP Signavio Process Manager.

SAP Signavio Process Manager - create and edit BPMN processes

Allows users to create and edit BPMN diagrams.

To create and edit DMN diagrams, users need the feature set Decision Manager - complete or Decision Manager - DMN requirements modeling (without decision logic).

When this option is disabled, other diagram types can still be edited.
